Very elegant German Empire Chest, ca. 1815.
This Chest of drawers rests on four splayed feet and exhibits lovely use of veneers. Wonderful, bright cherry veneer runs over the front side. The drawers are flanked by gilded Caryatids and ebonized pilasters. Beautifully contrasting ebonized key plates in the shape of coats of arms. Three box keys with with three keys.

Condition:
This chest of drawers is in very good condition. The surface is finished with hand polished with shellack. The structure is stable. Ready to use.
