Chest of drawers, late 18th century, Louis XVI style, France

A spectacular French commode from late XIX, marble topped ,bombe fronted with wonderful parquetry inlaid decoration to the front and side. The commode has very nice ormolu handles and ormolu feet, 2 locks and 2 keys.

The condition of this antique commode is very good.
The furniture has been carefully restored and hand-polished with shellac.
An excellent example of elegant French furniture to place in the hall, sitting room or bedroom.
