A rare and impressive 19th century mahogany secretary in the Biedermeier manner.
This piece of furniture consists of three sections.
In the lower part there is a bottom with a beautiful inlay in the middle and one drawer above.
Above this three long graduated drawers including the pull-out gradient adjustable writing surface enclosed storage with dovetailed jointing. The whole secretary is closed with a cylindrical lid, which hides the inside
with a row of small drawers. Unique are two drawers with hidden compartments. The leather-covered writing surface can be set up at an angle, with a drawer to the left and right of each.
The upper section with a three concave and convex shaped doors enclosed shelving.
Condition:
This secretary is in very good condition. Construction is stable. The surface is finished with hand polished shellack. Seven locks with seven keys.
