We are pleased to present an extraordinary example of mid-19th-century Italian artistry—a tilt-top center table, embodying the elegance of classical form and intricately embellished design. Crafted from solid walnut and adorned with exquisite inlaid veneers of various fine woods, this table captivates with its rich Neoclassical decor. The top showcases a sophisticated marquetry scene of The Sun Chariot, surrounded by an elaborate ornamental border, imbuing the piece with both dignity and mystique.
The entire structure rests upon an impressive, turned central column, transitioning gracefully into four elegantly carved legs. The tilt-top mechanism allows for easy removal of the tabletop from the base, combining artistic refinement with practicality in a unique construction.
