This antique chest of drawers is a German Baroque beauty from around 1760, made from walnut and inlaid with ash and maple. Classic Baroque curves, high quality materials and original hardware – a real collector’s piece with loads of historical presence.
Three double curved drawers, each with three part veneered fields, show off symmetry and craftsmanship. The curved top and soft bowed front is Baroque, the warm walnut tone is timeless and sophisticated. Original fittings and box locks are all intact, 3 keys included.
Bun feet give the piece a solid and balanced base. Surface has been lightly cleaned and hand polished with shellac to preserve the patina and refresh the finish. Drawers work smoothly and are functional, perfect for display and daily use.
